Security, outdoor media, and smart cities are also partnering with VR/AR.

Smart City
On August 16, Yinjiang announced that it would invest US$5 million of its own funds in the augmented reality (AR) technology company Magic Leap and acquire 212,766 shares of the latter. Yinjiang Technology believes that through direct business cooperation with Magic Leap, its products can be used in the field of smart city AR display, and it can conduct deeper cooperation with Magic Leap in joint research and development, market integration, etc.
Yinjiang Co., Ltd. is one of the first 28 companies listed on China’s GEM. At present, Yinjiang has developed into China's leading smart city solution provider and data operation service provider, and is committed to providing advanced smart city overall solutions and operating models for users in urban data centers, smart transportation, smart medical care, smart buildings, smart education, smart urban management, smart tourism, smart finance, smart life and other industries.
Since June this year, two A-share listed companies, LED company Leyard and film and television company Huace Film and Television, have acquired part of Magic Leap's shares. Now Yinjiang, a leading smart city stock, has also announced an investment in Magic Leap. Magic Leap is favored by three listed companies because its "digital light field" technology may be able to solve the problem of optical see-through binocular AR glasses, "using curved light fields to create images, rather than using stereoscopic images to deceive the eyeballs like other platforms."
Yinjiang will also continue to carry out multi-level cooperation with well-known companies in the VR/AR industry through capital investment, joint research and development, market integration, etc., to apply VR/AR technology to various fields of smart cities.
In China, not only LED companies are keen on VR/AR, Yinjiang Co., Ltd., Dahua Co., Ltd., Phoenix Metropolis Media and other related fields are actively deploying VR/AR.
Security Enterprises
Dahua Co., Ltd. is a leading video surveillance product supplier and solution service provider, providing leading series of products, solutions and operations services such as video storage, front-end, display control and intelligent transportation to the world. The company has established a big data and advanced technology research institute focusing on the field of video surveillance. Three-dimensional layout of cutting-edge applications in the fields of Internet and consumer products, machine vision, robots, drones, automotive electronics, VR, etc. Dahua expressed that it is very optimistic about the broad market prospects of virtual reality in the future and will consider innovative layout in this field in due course.
Foreign security companies have already begun to make plans in this field: the American security company IC Real Tech has demonstrated a panoramic VR virtual camera; Fortem has successfully implemented some 3D/AR concept monitoring platforms, and the participants are well-known security companies such as Milestone/AXIS that everyone is familiar with.
At last year’s CPSE Security Expo, some security companies already displayed AR cameras. AR technology combines the real environment with the virtual environment. An augmented reality system requires display technology, tracking and positioning technology, interface and visualization technology, and calibration technology. Augmented reality technology is used in cameras, which combines the "reality" of real-time video with the "enhanced" information of digital tags, allowing monitoring users to obtain information about target objects immediately when monitoring real-time images.
It is used in the back-end monitoring center. It is currently mainly based on AR video and overall security control experience, such as Fortem's three-dimensional interactive security center concept. Put the real surrounding environment and things in AR on the same screen, and you can interact with video through the large screen, such as directly interacting with deployed cameras, access control, anti-theft or fire protection, building control and other systems on a city electronic map.
Outdoor Media
Phoenix Digital Technology is affiliated to Phoenix Metropolis Media and is one of the important layouts of Phoenix Metropolis Media. In June, "School of Journalism and Communication of Jinan University" and "Phoenix Digital Technology" established a strategic partnership. The two parties will jointly establish a "Virtual Interaction Application Research Center" and cooperate in the fields of basic research and commercial application incubation of virtual interaction.
Phoenix Digital Technology provides comprehensive support for the School of Journalism and Communication of Jinan University to successfully carry out virtual interactive research. Utilizing its own brand, resources, technology, and channel advantages, based on many years of experience in the field of digital interaction, it focuses on overall solutions for digital interactive experience, and has advanced interactive media (including innovative digital technologies such as augmented reality-AR, virtual reality-VR, holographic imaging, motion capture, etc.), digital image production and other technologies.
Phoenix Metropolis Media has also stated that outdoor media has begun to become a very important platform for consumers to enjoy real products or brand experiences in the real world. To make outdoor media a consumer experience platform, three essential elements are needed: media digitization, technology interaction, and creative sceneization. Through the linkage of LED large screens and mobile phone small screens, the addition of AR and VR technologies can enhance interaction and strengthen consumer experience. With the advent of the Advertising 3.0 era, outdoor LED in the past focused on space, turning to the scene of "space + time + people" to incorporate consumer characteristics. This requires enhanced display technology. Advertisers' products and brands will not only form good interactions with consumers through the big screen, but also become a gathering place for scene marketing.
